How It Started
From a Love of Italian Food & Culture
When most people think of Italy, the first thing they think about is food, so we wanted to bring a foodie event to Calgary that also celebrates the Italian Culture. So in September of 2022, we had the first Taste of Italy event, since it was a big success, the following year we continued the new tradition. We are very excited to announce our 3rd Annual Taste of Italy Festival on September 8th, 2024!

We will be located at Bridgeland Riverside Community Association again this year. We love hosting the festival in Bridgeland due to the Italian roots of the community. Our favorite feature of the venue is the beautiful outdoor space where the festivities take place.
Our Story
The Taste of Italy is a community event that intends to celebrate and share Italian culture in Calgary by including Italian businesses and restaurants in Calgary. Attendees are invited to come to the event to experience a slice of Italian Culture right here in Calgary. Maybe you even discover a new favorite restaurant or Italian experience! You will be able to enjoy Italian music and dancing. You can also participate in some Italian-inspired games and competitions with prizes! There will be fun for all ages.
