Taste of Italy Calgary offers various programs and events that celebrate the Italian culture and cuisine of Calgary. Our programs and events provide an authentic Italian experience through food, entertainment, and cultural activities. Join us for our third year of the festival and celebrate Italian heritage and culture in Calgary.

Fun Contests

We have fun contests taking place throughout the day.

-Are you an awesome pizza maker? Go head to head with your competitors to see who can make the best pizza dough. You can stretch it on the table it or even toss it up in the air!

-Grab a partner and try grape stomping. How quickly could you start to make wine with your significant other or best friend?

-Pasta eating is a favorite cultural activity for Italians. Why not speed things up and see who is the fastest pasta eater of them all?

Dance and Musical
Performances

Calgary Italian Dancers will grace the stage with lively and entertaining dance numbers that everyone is sure to love!

Our festival will feature the Calgary Crescendo Choir, a roaming accordion player, and new this year is Italian Opera. There will also be a DJ and Italian Karaoke.

Artists and Artisans

Our festival will feature a variety of local Italian painters who will be selling their work. There is also live painting so you can see the creativity unfold right before your eyes!

We have artisans that will be selling jewelry and unique handicrafts.

Food Vendors

We love to feature Italian Food Vendors. There will be a variety of authentic Italian dishes available. You may even discover your new favorite Italian Restaurant! There will coffee and gelato vendors and a licensed area.

Kids Activities

New to the festival this year is a glitter tattoo area for kids! Youth volunteers will be providing this exciting service. Thanks to our newest food vendor, The Dogfather, for sponsoring the Glitter Tattoo Tent! If you want to sponsor a children's area, please contact us!

We will also have a fun craft area.

The Bridgeland Riverside Community Center has a new playground that the children will be sure to enjoy.

Taste of Italy Calgary offers a range of amenities to enhance your experience at the festival. From Italian food vendors to cultural activities and entertainment, our festival is designed to provide an authentic Italian experience.

Our festival takes place at the Bridgeland Riverside Community Association, located downtown right beside the Bridgeland/Memorial LRT station, and offers barrier-free access. The event is free and open to all ages. Join us and celebrate Italian culture and cuisine in Calgary.
